Star Home Builders - A Certified Professional Homebuilder
SHB Homeowners Handbook
Star Home Builders shares your excitement about
your new home, and we want to make your Star Home Builders'
experience smooth and worry-free.
With each new SHB home, we provide a handbook to educate the homeowner regarding
complete care and maintenance. In this handbook, you'll find detailed and easy
steps for preserving and protecting your new home.
The state of Georgia currently has no licensing requirement
for builders; however, we have made the investment to become a Certified
Professional Home Builder. We agree to adhere to set standards, demonstrate
knowledge of construction, professionalism and are committed to you
as a customer.
To become a Certified Professional Home Builder member, Star Home Builders
had to receive positive responses from financial, homeowner, supplier and trade
contractor references. When investing in a home, it is reassuring to know we
have received positive references from industry professionals, and most importantly,
people like you. Being a Certified Professional Home Builder, we must build
to the standards set forth in the Homeowner Handbook. However, we go above
and beyond what is required. We also maintain appropriate insurance coverage,
including builder's risk, general liability and other insurance required by
law.
Knowing how to build a home is important, but equally important is having the
management skills to run a successful company that will be around in years
to come. That's what Star Home Builders continues to build on. We've studied
and know the required building codes to ensure your home is properly constructed.
We request if you have warranty issues or concerns, put these in writing to
the Star Home Builders office, and we will assist you with your warranty issues.
We will return to address any warranty issues in your home and help prevent
unneeded worry and stress.
The SHB Homeowner Handbook defines and describes building performance standards based on the Residential Construction Performance Guidelines from the National Association of Home Builders that have been developed and approved by the membership of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association after careful analysis of industry standards and accepted
building practices in Georgia
